Reagan Wireless | Daniel Kaufman Innovates 3D Printing

As the CEO of Reagan Wireless, Daniel Kaufman has pushed the company to new highs by implementing cutting-edge technology in the workplace. Based in Florida, the cellphone handset and accessories distributor focuses on recycling old parts and phones and selling dozens of different brands to its clients. Cellphones are a technology unto themselves, though Reagan Wireless recently implemented a new, innovative way to repurpose “junk” materials.

For instance, Reagan Wireless recently procured a 3D printer from Stratasys, one of the leading printer companies in the world. Known as additive manufacturing, 3D printing has been around for decades, but it is only just now becoming affordable and efficient enough for commercial use. In essence, these “industrial robots” compile additive materials to create CAD and 3D virtual images from computers. They are traditionally used for creating product prototypes, though Reagan WirelessDaniel Kaufman has recently found a new way to take advantage of 3D printing power.

The cellphone wholesaler recently began using its 3D printer to design their own equipment and tools for handset repair. Most phones require unique tools to open and fix; with custom-made, durable tools, however, Reagan Wireless is able to repurpose dozens of different brands. Kaufman says the company is looking to design full-fledged molds to aid in the repair process. The distributor is not yet looking into accessory 3D printing, though it is the first in its industry to utilize 3D printers to this capacity.

As mentioned, 3D printers use what is called additive manufacturing. This means objects are created through layered materials (usually heavy plastics). Using CAD, or computer aided design, and modeling software, designers can create almost anything imaginable from handheld puzzles and sculptures to heart valves and microelectronics. The 3D printer creates cross-sections (i.e. slices) and layers them to create a durable, all-in-one component that would be otherwise impossible to manufacture in one mold.

This process may sound like injection molding, or when manufacturing facilities utilize the same molds over and over to create parts (like cellphone cases). Injection molds, while useful for creating thousands of products quickly, are limited in functionality. Small companies seldom have the facilities to efficiently manufacture small parts to fill smaller orders. Instead, they can use 3D printing to create straight molds or the actual parts.

Modern 3D printers come in either desktop or industrial sizes. Top of the line desktop printers are usually capable of layering different materials and colors to create products...

Reagan Wireless surpasses 90 percent minority workforce with 137th hire

Deerfield Beach, Fl. Dec 27, 2013 – Equal employment opportunities at Reagan Wireless, a leading technology company in the global cellular phone distribution industry, have grown the company's workforce to 137, where minority workers comprise more than 90 percent of its workforce.

The latest employment numbers come in the wake of two new hires in December at the Reagan Wireless Deerfield Beach headquarters.

“The principles of fair play and equal opportunity are at core of what built this country and Reagan Wireless continues to grow according to those principles. Our diversity is reflected in both staff and management positions," said Daniel Kaufman, Reagan Wireless President & CEO.

The latest new hire is Ana Alejandra Caicedo, a former employee of TD Bank and a graduate of Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a Minor in Business Administration. Ana has joined Reagan Wireless as a Quality Control Technician where her responsibilities include prescribed data destruction procedures for a variety of products, while ensuring company safety and environmental rules are observed.

We’re pleased to welcome Ana to the Reagan Wireless family. She’s a fast learner and in fact the daughter of a current employee.  Reagan Wireless has always encouraged employees to submit their immediate family members’ resumes in for hiring.  We currently have 14 parent-child employees.  This amount doubles during summer college break.  As a self-motivated and bilingual team player like her mother, she has a bright future here,” Mr. Kaufman added.

Earlier this month, Mariana Malca joined the customer service team attending Reagan Wireless clients locally, nationally and abroad. A college student, fluent in 3 languages and a former Retail Administrative Assistant, Mariana is working at Reagan Wireless while pursuing a college education.

As a leading worldwide distributor, reseller, recycler, and wholesaler of mobile phones, tablets and accessories for more than 17 years, Reagan Wireless offers its clients a full spectrum of devices from top name brands, including HTC Corporation, LG Electronics, SANYO North America Corporation, Samsung, Research In Motion Limited (Blackberry), Motorola Iden, Nextel, and APPLE. Headquartered in Deerfield Beach, Florida it’s known for its unbeatable pricing and extensive client relationships with such companies as Sprint, AT&T, America Movil, and Telefonica.  Reagan Wireless also specializes in reverse logistics, providing de-branding, brand protection, parts harvesting, and other services to suit individual client needs. Reagan Wireless Donation brings Christmas Cheer to Orphanage in the Philippines

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Deerfield Beach, Fl. Dec 26, 2013 – An orphanage in the Philippines, where a typhoon devastated large parts of the country last month, has received a generous donation of $25,000 from Reagan Wireless, a leading technology company in the global cellular phone distribution industry.
The orphanage that is home to more than 160 children, used the donation to purchase medical supplies, Daniel Kaufman Reagan Wireless Press Release 3food, toys, bicycles, and build a playground which was unveiled on Christmas day.
"Today is Christmas in the Philippines. The children thank you for your generous donation of the playground, bicycles, toys, food and medical supplies. Tomorrow, we head to another orphanage with 186 children from 7-18 years old. The children were very happy to receive your gifts," Fernando Kuehnel, Founder and Chairman of the Board of the Kabataan Charity said in a letter thanking Daniel Kaufman, Reagan Wireless President & CEO.
“This is an ongoing donation we have been making for over two years now. The needs of the orphanages have increased since the typhoon as a result of kids either losing parents, or through the loss of job and possessions, making it impossible for some parents to afford to take care of their children,” Mr. Kaufman said.
The Kabataan Charity is a 501(c) 3 charity with a mission to provide aid to orphanages or children's homes in the US and worldwide, including those in the Philippines.
At Reagan Wireless, Daniel Kaufman Initiated Cutting-Edge Marketing

At Reagan Wireless, Daniel Kaufman Initiated Cutting-Edge Marketing

With Reagan Wireless, Daniel Kaufman found a much desired niche in the cellphone industry. Based in Florida, the company has become one of the top wholesalers around the world. It specializes in reselling, distributing, and recycling old cellphones and accessories, not to mention all Iden and CDMA handsets. The cellphone market, due to the fact that few people have the same phone for two years, has a lot of opportunity for growth and advancement.

The cell niche, however, is not for everyone. Entrepreneurs around the world are always looking for the next up-and-coming thing, which, for many, is technology. Due to its quick market turnover and the fact that everyone uses technology to some capacity, this industry has low barriers of entry and room for success. These companies, however, have to differentiate themselves from the competition by offering something new, efficient, and productive.

At Reagan Wireless, Daniel Kaufman says the number one thing for entrepreneurs to look at is marketing. Other than products and services, marketing is the number one element that separates the wolves from the sheep. Marketing correctly, though, is a difficult process that takes trial and error...

Reagan Wireless’ Daniel Kaufman, CEO, Talks Minority Staffed Business

Reagan Wireless’ Daniel Kaufman, CEO, Talks Minority Staffed Business

As the owner of Reagan Wireless, Daniel Kaufman has helped diversify the company’s workplace. Currently, more than 90 percent of its employee base and management are of minority ethnicities, a fact that the technology and recycling company are proud of. Not only do minority staffed businesses have an advantage over others, the United States government often offers tax breaks and other incentives to these companies.
Minority staffed businesses include gender, ethnicity, and even veterans. According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, or the SBA, these businesses are ones that incorporate learning, training, and management programs to help minorities succeed as professionals. These groups are usually economically or socially disadvantaged, and can also include Hispanic Americans, Subcontinent Asian Americans, Native Americans, or others that have a documented history of business hardship.
The SBA actively supports these firms with 8(a) certification. It provides company development assistance programs, helps institute mentor programs, and assists businesses with perfecting backend and day-to-day operations. SBA certification, however, is not what all businesses shoot for.
A lot of business owners, like Reagan WirelessDaniel Kaufman, believe that minority-staffed businesses...
