Apple will host next iPhone launch Sept. 9

iphone15.png

Apple will show off its next iPhones on September 9 at an event in San Francisco.
The event will be held exactly a year after the company introduced the iPhone 6 and its larger sibling, the 6 Plus. The two phones have become Apple's best-selling devices ever and have made Apple the most profitable public company in the world.
Invitations to the event were sent out Thursday, with a terse tease: "Hey Siri, give us a hint."

More than two-thirds of Apple's revenue now comes from the iPhone, making it essential for Apple to keep introducing devices consumers desire. While the company continues to sell millions of phones, the overall mobile market has slowed, raising worries that not even Apple is immune to the lackluster demand. At the same time, Apple has to find a way to get buyers interested in tablets again. Its quarterly iPad sales have declined year over year for the past six periods in a row. A bigger iPad, which would appeal to business users, could be a way to do that.
This year's iPhone launch is the "S" cycle, which means the devices likely won't feature new hardware designs but instead could include other tweaks -- for example, Siri, Apple's voice assistant, debuted with the iPhone 4S. The company is expected to add its ForceTouch technology to the new devices, allowing the iPhones to differentiate between hard and light taps on the display. Other tweaks could include a faster processor and camera, as well as more color options.

Apple also is expected to reveal a new Apple TV box that it potentially will launch alongside an Internet-delivered television service. The company was believed to be readying those products for its annual developers conference in June, but instead they were pushed back. Apple couldn't broker deals with TV programmers to stock the new service with channels in time, according to reports.
Apple also could use its September 9 event to show off its newest iPads, if a report from Buzzfeed is correct. That would mark a break from Apple's traditional strategy of holding separate events for its smartphones and tablets. Typically, the iPhone is announced in September, followed by iPad news in October. Lumping them together could indicate Apple doesn't have big changes in store for the devices -- though market watchers have been waiting for the company to introduce a new 12.9-inch "iPad Pro." The iPad Pro is a wildcard for the September event.
The event at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco will start at 10 a.m. PT.

REAGAN WIRELESS DANIEL KAUFMAN GREEN-LIGHTS ECYCLING

Daniel Kaufman Reagan Wireless Press Release
Daniel Kaufman a long time telecommunications expert, is the current president and CEO of his company Reagan Wireless. Reagan is a cellphone and accessories business that distributes top branded products around the world. Though cell and smartphone accessories are nothing new, most of the company’s clients are surprised to learn that Reagan Wireless recycles approximately 95 percent of its disposable materials (circuit boards, LCD displays, batteries, etc.).

The United States Environmental Protection Agency states that 75 percent of all recyclable electronics are improperly disposed of. Not only do electronics take up landfill space, cell phones contain pollutants and toxic metals that can eventually degrade and harm human health and the environment as a whole. Properly recycled, old phones and electronic parts can be repurposed and pushed back into circulation. This process reduces the need for resources (i.e. mining for metal) and saves manufacturers on materials expenses.

Because of the huge accumulation of electronic waste and the adverse side-effects, Daniel Kaufman of Reagan Wireless says his company allows people to send in their old cell phones for free. This helps manage e-waste and old products are upcycled into refurbished or new ones, simultaneously reducing environmental aftereffects of production and transportation.

Essentially, this new form of “eCycling” is becoming increasing popular in every industry. According to the EPA, an average American household has between 20 and 30 electronic devices. Most of these are unused or broken.

By using donated parts (think organ donors?), newer models can have extended lifecycles. The same goes for televisions, computers, smartphones, and other electronic retailers. The forward-thinking companies have buyback programs or related recycling systems that make it easy for people to eCycle their electronics. The EPA even offers certification programs in which electronic manufacturers and repair businesses can become registered to prove their dedication to helping the environment.

Electronic waste, however, is only one leg of the overall problem. Paper products, glass, fuel, organic waste, and other everyday resources are constantly trashed. By recycling responsibly, people can:

-Reduce the environmental impact of improper disposal
-Increase human health factors from chemical and toxic run-off from landfills into soil and water sources
-Cut back on mining and resource extraction throughout the world by recycling virgin materials
-Conserve natural resources

Businesses, households, and other entities should consider finding ways to properly dispose of their electronics and other recyclable waste. Recycling, however, is only one way businesses can save money and the environment at one time.

At Reagan Wireless Daniel Kaufman Encourages “Green”

At Reagan Wireless Kaufman sets up yearly goals for his company to meet. These environmental, health, and employee safety practices include:

-Reducing carbon output by at least 5 percent
-Improve energy efficiency by 2 percent -Experiencezero worker injuries
-Have zero air and water toxin releases
-Gain LEED certification in water, heat island, commuting, and irrigation
-Replace 10 percent of fixtures with sustainable lighting

Daniel Kaufman of Reagan Wireless also notes that there are just a few of the company’s goals, though this model should be built upon by other companies in every applicable industry. LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is a U.S. Green Building Council initiative that recognizes offices, homes, and other buildings for their eco-friendly efforts. People usually associate LEED with low supply chain construction practices and implementing renewable energy systems, though existing buildings can do their part as well...

Reagan Wireless | Daniel Kaufman Innovates 3D Printing

As the CEO of Reagan Wireless, Daniel Kaufman has pushed the company to new highs by implementing cutting-edge technology in the workplace. Based in Florida, the cellphone handset and accessories distributor focuses on recycling old parts and phones and selling dozens of different brands to its clients. Cellphones are a technology unto themselves, though Reagan Wireless recently implemented a new, innovative way to repurpose “junk” materials.

For instance, Reagan Wireless recently procured a 3D printer from Stratasys, one of the leading printer companies in the world. Known as additive manufacturing, 3D printing has been around for decades, but it is only just now becoming affordable and efficient enough for commercial use. In essence, these “industrial robots” compile additive materials to create CAD and 3D virtual images from computers. They are traditionally used for creating product prototypes, though Reagan WirelessDaniel Kaufman has recently found a new way to take advantage of 3D printing power.

The cellphone wholesaler recently began using its 3D printer to design their own equipment and tools for handset repair. Most phones require unique tools to open and fix; with custom-made, durable tools, however, Reagan Wireless is able to repurpose dozens of different brands. Kaufman says the company is looking to design full-fledged molds to aid in the repair process. The distributor is not yet looking into accessory 3D printing, though it is the first in its industry to utilize 3D printers to this capacity.

As mentioned, 3D printers use what is called additive manufacturing. This means objects are created through layered materials (usually heavy plastics). Using CAD, or computer aided design, and modeling software, designers can create almost anything imaginable from handheld puzzles and sculptures to heart valves and microelectronics. The 3D printer creates cross-sections (i.e. slices) and layers them to create a durable, all-in-one component that would be otherwise impossible to manufacture in one mold.

This process may sound like injection molding, or when manufacturing facilities utilize the same molds over and over to create parts (like cellphone cases). Injection molds, while useful for creating thousands of products quickly, are limited in functionality. Small companies seldom have the facilities to efficiently manufacture small parts to fill smaller orders. Instead, they can use 3D printing to create straight molds or the actual parts.

Modern 3D printers come in either desktop or industrial sizes. Top of the line desktop printers are usually capable of layering different materials and colors to create products...
